Dust Test

Introduction:

Dust and sand testing is used to evaluate the resistance of test equipment exposed to dry sand or dust-laden atmospheric conditions, as well as its ability to store and operate. It is also used to assess the ability of components to resist the penetration of dust particles in dry, dusty atmospheres. The purpose of dust and sand testing is to determine the suitability of military and civilian equipment for environments with blowing sand and dust.

Sand and dust testing is primarily used for the simulation and detection of sand and dust effects on low-voltage electrical appliances, motors, instruments, meters, electronic products, and lighting fixtures.
